Street Department is responsible for repairs to the streets, signal lights, drainage ditches, below and above ground storm drains and the school zone lights.

SH 66 & SH4 are maintained by the State Department.   SH92 is now being maintained by the City.

We mow approximately 300 acres of grass that consists of ditches, medians, right of ways, holding ponds, the Police gun range, Greenbelt Park, Taylor Park and on occasion Ranchwood Park.

Street is accountable for the Snow and Ice Removal throughout town.  State highways are only done in case of an emergency.

Traffic Counts are conducted several times a year and are available through the request of the City Manager’s office. 

Street Department works very closely with Parks Department in the preparation for “Christmas in the Park”.
