Severe Shelter Registry
The City of Yukon provides a Severe Shelter Registration Program to our residents. This free, voluntary service allows residents who own a personal, severe weather shelter within the Yukon city limits to register their shelter with the Office of Emergency Management. Shelter registration is our proactive response to rescue situations occurring as a result of severe weather.
This program provides rescue personnel valuable timesaving, location information should debris or structural damage due to severe weather block a storm shelter exit. As an additional safeguard, registrants are encouraged to include an out-of-town accountability contact.
To register a storm cellar, safe room, or other personal severe weather shelter, complete and return the Storm Shelter Registry form to the

or contact the Office of Emergency Management at 405-350-5413 or 405-354-2553. Information recorded includes the owner’s name, address, telephone number, and accountability contact; and type, size, specific location, and brief description of the shelter.
This information is maintained by Emergency Management personnel and used only in the event of structural damage from severe weather or other related incidents.
