Disasters happen everywhere. Although we cannot control forces of nature or eliminate human error, we can prepare to meet disasters and mitigate their impact, respond faster, and better protect human life and property. The City of Yukon Emergency Management Department strives to provide a prepared and capable emergency management program for the city  through training, community education, and preparedness by providing information and education to the general public, area emergency responders, and volunteers.

The restrictions may limit hours or prohibit use of water, or require use of hand watering instead of using sprinkler systems that use much more water.
